Quick & Easy margarita made from scratch-no sugary mixes!

Pomegranate Margarita Slushie! YUM! Uses fresh squeezed juice and NO limeade. via @DashofEvansI’m all about simple drink recipes. I actually don’t have a signature drink because I love to try new cocktails. In college, I was always a whiskey diet girl, but now I love tequila. And wine. Okay, I’m not picky after a day with 3 kiddos.  Since citrus is in season, it’s a great time to add fresh squeezed orange and lime juice!

You thought slushies were just for kids, didn’t you?! NO WAY JOSE! This quick drink recipe uses 100% Pom juice and fresh squeezed juice. Nothing is worse than getting a margarita at a restaurant that is full of super tart limeade.  This one is light and refreshing…but beware, they are ADDICTING!

For margaritas, I like to make them with a slushie consistency. It’s like a combination of a frozen and a rocks drink! If it ends up too tart for your liking, just add a touch of agave or sugar.

Have fun with different flavors of Pomegranate juice! To make as a rocks drink, use less ice and don't blend.

I love to use the Pom Wonderful juices in various flavors. There’s coconut, pineapple, blueberry and more. They always have coupons and I pair them with a sale! As far as tequila goes, use whatever you prefer. We tend to get the Margaritaville Gold. It’s reasonably priced and super tasty!

Other cocktails you might enjoy:

  • 5-Minute Sangria
  • Skinny Chelada
  • Blackberry Gin Smash
  • Strawberry Margarita
