This is a one pot meal you don’t want to miss! Ready in less than 20 minutes (no, REALLY!), it’s perfect for those crazy weeknights.

I don’t know about you, but I’m counting down the days that school starts (12!). It will be quite bittersweet since Gabby, my youngest, is heading off to full day kindergarten. But we have had WAY too much together time this summer. From morning to bed, arguing, tattling and whining has occurred, no matter what I do or say.Ā  My plans to jam-pack their schedule with fun have been derailed because they can barely go 5 minutes without fighting.

Once school starts, it’s like I hit the ground running. This is a super busy time of year for blogging, plus organizing our school’s PTA and extracurricular activities start up too! Now, more than ever, I need easy, delicious recipes on my meal-plan for those crazy nights. No matter how busy we are, we ALWAYS sit around the dinner table. That’s our one rule.

One Pot Penne Rosa with sausage for those nights when you need dinner PRONTO! Find everything @Walmart! via @DashOfEvans (ad) #OnePotProntoBarilla Pronto is looking out for people with busy schedules. There’s no boiling, draining your pasta, everything is cooked with ONE POT. Aside from penne, Barilla Pronto Pasta is also available inĀ  half-cut spaghetti, linguini and rotini.

I set the timer and this ENTIRE meal was on the table in 20 minutes. From browning the sausage to finishing up the noodles with sauce, the clock said 16 minutes. Score! To make this even faster, you could brown up the sausage and veggies during Sunday prep and just reheat them before adding the noodles.

After browning the sausage and veggies, you add liquid to cook the noodles–then after 10 minutes the sauce! I love to put pesto in all of my pasta sauces, so this one combines Barilla marinara, Garlic Alfredo and pesto–all great to have on hand for quick meals. In our home, Barilla is a budget friendly pantry staple–one of those great tasting, trusted brands.

For every box of BarillaĀ® Prontoā„¢ purchased at Walmart between 7/31/2016 and 10/31/2016, BarillaĀ® will donate 10 meals to kids in need through No Kid Hungry, up to half-a-million meals.* We found both the Barilla Pronto and pasta sauces right in the regular pasta aisle. I had a printable coupon, too–be sure to check your coupon binders!

Step Two: Add sausage, crumbling with a flat spoon or spatula until almost cooked through. Season with minced garlic and Italian seasoning.

Step Three: Pour in milk, chicken stock and entire box of noodles. Turn heat on HIGH and allow to bubble, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Stir frequently.

Step Four: After 10 minutes, add mozzarella cheese, alfredo and marinara sauce. There will be a little excess liquid at first, but DO NOT DRAIN. Lower heat to medium. Stir to melt mozzarella and heat sauce through. Top with chopped basil. Garnish with more cheese, if desired.

This looks insanely delicious! I often make spaghetti with fresh Italian fennel sausage. I’m going to give this recipe a whirl. Love the not having to cook the past separately.

I’m ready but I will miss my kids folding all of the laundry and daily vacuuming. I won’t miss the arguing.

That is amazing! We get home from work so late and it usually takes forever to make something, but this would be a great solution!
