Looking for an easy chili alternative for your game day feast…or just game night? Brunswick Stew is IT! Packed with Curly’s pulled pork, chicken and ground beef, plus tomatoes and corn, this is about to be your new favorite easy dish.
Fifteen years ago, I decided to take a year off from college to get in-state tuition. Being from Michigan, going to University of Wisconsin was adding up. During that year off, I decided to get a job at a local BBQ chain restaurant and guess what: I met my future husband. I would always grab some Brunswick Stew after my shift and chat with this cute bartender.
Flash forward to today and we’ve been together for almost 15 years. My how things have changed!
Barbecue will always have a soft spot in my heart (and appetite!), especially Brunswick Stew. I had to figure out how to make it at home. This recipe is packed full of pulled pork, ground beef AND pulled chicken. Perfect for tailgating, home-gating or just a game night in, this is an easy stew to make. I love this because so many people make chili, but Brunswick Stew always gets interest from your guests.
As far as garnishes are concerned, you can go so many routes. My girls love the mini saltine crackers, but I am partial to crushed tortilla chips. Cheese is always a great addition, as well as green onions or jalapeƱos. Go wild and set up a little toppings bar on the side of the slow-cooker.
Did you know Curly’s has Smoked Pulled Pork with 25% more meat? 1 full pound of meat, perfect for a crowd! I found them at Walmart in the deli section. There is both classic BBQ and Bold & Spicy varieties. The pulled pork is always pulled, not shredded for a heartier texture. Also, the larger chunks of meat are delicious for all of our BBQ pork needs.
What you need for this recipe:
- Pantry staples: diced tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, creamed corn
- Condiments (TRUST ME!): ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, Worcestershire
- Curly’s Pulled Pork – 16 oz party pack. Found at Walmart!
- Ground beef, pulled chicken
- Slow or Pressure cooker
This filling game day favorite is perfect for your hungry guests: Brunswick Stew! Packed with pulled pork, ground beef and shredded chicken this is the BEST stew for game day.
