Growing up, chocolate shell was my favorite topper at our local ice cream shoppe. It’s super simple to make at home and you can make different flavors, like this Chocolate Covered Strawberry variety. Such a great way to switch up dessert!

This post is in collaboration with Turkey Hill Dairy. All opinions and recipes are my own.

Warm weather has finally arrived here in the Midwest and ice cream is a staple on our shopping list now. I mean, it’s the perfect treat after a long, warm day…right? I can easily forego dinner and replace it with ice cream. #NoShame

Toppings are super essential for the perfect sundae: crushed cookies, berries, bananas, chocolate chips, nuts, syrup and whipped cream. Our go to is chocolate shell, though! It’s easy to make up quickly and adds such a fun layer to your ice cream!

What’s your go-to flavor? We always aim for a neutral like Vanilla Bean, plus a more fun one like Moose Tracks or Cookie Dough. Recently, we discovered Turkey Hill’s All Natural ice cream and fell in love. It’s creamy and comes in a variety of our favorite flavors–there’s 20 to choose from. The Salted Caramel is to die for!

Turkey Hill’s All Natural Ice Cream is made with simple ingredients like cream, milk, sugar and natural flavors. The vanilla only has four ingredients! Also, you won’t find artificial flavors, colors–the recipe is much like the way it was made over 80 years ago when they first started.
