Well, it’s official. All three of my girls are in full time school. I know it’s really cliche to say “time flies!”, but it truly does. I swear Gabby was JUST born. She’s been my side-kick for the last two years while the twins were at school. Now it’s so quiet and running errands is a breeze. Don’t get me wrong–I’m not complaining! It’s just….strange!
Gabriella is more than ready for school. She’s learned so much from her older sisters and I cannot wait to see how she thrives in kindergarten. Even better, her best friend is in her class! The twins had each other in kindergarten and it’s comforting to know that Gabby is starting off with at least one familiar face in her classroom.
We went through huge growth spurts this summer and my girls were eating SO much food to keep up. Now that they’re in school, I want to make sure they’re getting the nutrients they need. Our daily vitamin is essential at bedtime. Long gone are the days of the chalky, crunchy vitamins. My girls LOVE the Nature Made® KIDS FIRST® gummies. In all honesty, bedtime can be quite chaotic with the girls. They’re tired, but excited from their day and they want to fight EVERY SECOND of going to bed. All of the sudden, everyone has stories to tell or some important piece of news to share. Having a set bedtime routine really helps. We have showers, then our vitamin before story time, which they get a cup of water or milk. After story time (we’re reading The One and Only Stuey Lewis right now, with Ramona Quimby, Age 8 on deck), we brush our teeth and hair. The whole routine takes at least an hour!
Aside from bedtime chaos, the first week of school has been great. We’re still working out what exactly to pack for lunchboxes and our new schedule, but it’s all a learning process.
