Not sure what to do with Trader Joe's Everything Bagel spice? Make smashed potatoes! These are a perfect side for steaks, burgers and more. YUM! via @DashOfEvansWhen I first spotted the Everything Bagel spice at Trader Joe’s, I wanted to buy them all. I am obsessed with everything flavored items: bagels, bread, crackers, pretzels. The combination of the garlic, sesame seeds and bold flavors pairs well with dips and is a perfect pop of flavor. Let’s be honest, I love anything salty, too.

If you’ve never checked out the spice area at TJ’s, be sure to try the Smoked Paprika and Chile Lime, too! I love getting quality spices at such a bargain price.

YUM! via @DashOfEvansAlthough it’s a great spice to have in your cabinet, it’s hard to know what to DO with it. My first experiment was with potatoes. The spices pair well with anything roasted, especially potatoes. You can cut them into wedges or fries–or make these smashed potatoes!

My secret ingredient to make these potatoes even better is….malt vinegar!  Have you ever tried Salt & Vinegar chips? The tartness of the vinegar really adds a pop to the salt. I figured, this would be perfect for smashed potatoes, too. And I was SO right…these are addicting just like the chips.

YUM! via @DashOfEvansStep One: Boil baby red potatoes for 20 minutes. Look for the smallest you can find. You’ll know they’re done when the skin starts to peel away from the potato. This can be done during a prep day, to save time!
