Make bourbon a staple at any upcoming gathering. This simple pairing of Bulleit with cider is amazing chilled or warm with a cinnamon stick.
In college, I was always a whiskey girl. I didn’t really like beer for quite some time. If available, Apple Jack was my go-to drink: apple juice and Jack Daniels. YUM! Now that I’m older, I’ve branched out a bit, but I always fall back on whiskey or bourbon.
Do you know the difference between Whiskey, Bourbon and Scotch? It’s somewhat about location–bourbon is ONLY made in the US and 51% corn, whereas whiskey doesn’t have that regulation. Bourbon also needs to be stored in charred oak barrels, where as whiskey is not in charred barrels. There’s a bit more to it, but that’s the basics. I had to learn alll about whiskey when served at an Irish Pub. People would spend hundreds on their drinks there! (Total win for me as a server!)
When you grab a bottle of Bulleit, it says bourbon whiskey right on the bottle. I have recently fallen in love with Bulleit–it’s a mid-range in price and delicious for this time of year. For a gift, I love the large silicone cube trays, 2-4 nice rocks glasses and a bottle of bourbon. It’s a useful and always appreciated gift!
