It’s that time of year again: holiday shopping. Check out these great new finds for the kiddos! I love items that are both educational AND fun, don’t you?

As I start to make my holiday shopping lists, it’s so hard to get overwhelmed with all of the amazing items available out there. Gift guides are always so helpful to help me find new and exciting items on the market. Since we have 4 kids, I have a lot of shopping ahead of me!
Justice for Girls
If you have pre-teen girls, you know ALL ABOUT Justice! My girls are obsessed and I can see why: their clothes are so fun and cool, without being too old for their age. We love their athletic line, especially personalize for sports.
What you might not know is that Justice has the WARMEST cold weather gear. This cute chenille hat with a furry topper will be all the rage on the playground, friends!
American Girl
My three girls are obsessed their American Girl dolls and it is always so fun to overhear them playing and letting their imaginations run wild. Have you seen the Julie™ doll?
Julie™ comes in an authentic 1970s-style outfit, plus a paperback book The Big Break. She has straight blond hair with a small side braid, bell-bottom jeans, a groovy tank top with a peace sign and a cute yellow vest. My girls will be so excited to see her platform sandals!
All American Girl dolls are 18″, which are the perfect size for pretend play. With any doll, you need fun, themed accessories. For the holiday season, there are many options for your Julie™ doll:
- Julie Pinball Machine
- This actually works, with flashing lights and digital score keeper! It’s heavy duty, made from real metal and wood.
- Julie Christmas Outfit
- A great 70s-style outfit with a pink velvet dress, white tights and patent leather Mary Janes.
- Julie Christmas Fireplace
- A ceramic Christmas tree that lights up!
- Note, plate of cookies and milk cup for Santa
- Stockings with Julie and Tracy’s name
- A printed fireplace
Leading the Way: Women in Power Book from Candlewick Press
With three daughters, I’m always looking for inspirational books, especially with profiles of historical women, both past and present. Leading the Way: Women in Power features profiles of 50 women and an introduction from THE Hillary Clinton. I absolutely love the diversity in this book. This has my daughter Olivia’s name written all over it! I can’t wait to read this to my girls…and Liam!
Build-A-Bear
Who doesn’t love a soft, plush gift from Build-A-Bear? Meet Pawlette with a sequin mermaid gift set. Those floppy ears and soft fur are so adorable. As with any Build-A-Bear plush, you can customize with different clothing, accessories, SCENTS and even a fun voice memo.
I love Build-A-Bear for fun custom gifts for kids and other family members.

Jaxxs Toys
GIGANTOSAURUS™
Liam loves his dinosaurs right now, so Gigantosaurus is right up our alley. At 15″ high, this is the perfect size for preschoolers. By pushing a button, kids can make Gigantosaurus’s jaw open and close, plus make roaring noises. He also stomps! This is going to be THE dinosaur toy for 3-year-olds this year, for sure.
Did you know this toy is inspired by the Gigantosaurus™ cartoon?
Chocolate Poop Maker
Let’s face it: kits love goofy gifts. This Chocolate Poop Maker is IT. You can use chocolate from home to “flush” down the toilet into molds. It only takes 5 minutes in the fridge and you can add your own poo-tastic touches. Know any 8 year olds who would LOVE this? I do!
That book looks great! And the kids with their potty humor – OMG!! I have an eight-year-old too 😉 Thanks for the list!
