I have been using my Cricut Air Explore 2 for a couple of months now and I’m officially obsessed! From personal items to branded items for my business, InBooze, it has been so fun to play around with.

When I got the email to become a Cricut Ambassador, I whooped it up with joy. I am truly honored! Since I am a newbie, all of my projects will be from a beginners ability. I think it’s great to have projects for all skill levels, you know!?

Stainless cups are all the rage right now and it’s so fun to come up with different designs to jazz them up. For this project, I played around with different types of vinyl, from regular to metallic and holographic. I’ve had great luck using all materials, except for permanent glitter. Oy is that hard to weed!

Some people have suggested using removable vinyl for mugs, but I prefer the permanent. Plus it seems to wash well in the dishwasher!

What you will need for this project

Cricut Air Explore 2 – my mint green one is super cute!
Vinyl of choice! Here I used:
- White permanent vinyl
- Holographic permanent vinyl (all 3 colors are super fun!)
- Silver permanent vinyl
Stainless steel cups. I love the selection (and price!) at SaveACup. Here I have the matte black stemless and Townie in black.

While you can totally make your own designs up, Cricut Access has SO many fun holiday (or anytime!) files to use. It’s totally worth the price!

To make, simply cut the files you want using the color of choice. I have found that metallics and holographic look really nice on a dark cup and especially a matte finish. The simpler the better, too! Don’t overdo it with colors!

Simple winter themed phrases like “Let it Snow” are great for gifts so they can be used for all of winter! “Wine Not?” has been a big hit, also!
