Grilled Brats with Drunken Cheesy Peppers
Ingredients
  • 1 package Klement's Smoked Bratwurst (5 links)
  • Brat buns (optional)
  • 2 peppers , thinly sliced
  • 1 large onion , thinly sliced
  • 1 Tablespoon grill seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 12 oz favorite beer (We love Spotted Cow)
  • 1 cup shredded mild cheddar
Instructions
  1. Grill brats inside or outside until nice and brown. No need to pre-boil them!
  2. In a skillet, add 1 teaspoon canola oil. Heat to medium high. Add peppers and onions, season with grill seasoning. 21 Seasoning Salute from Trader Joe's is great. Cook for 6-7 minutes to caramelize.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Slowly pour the whole bottle of beer over the peppers and onions. Cover and bubble for 10 minutes, until beer has cooked down.
  4. Add mustard and cheese. Stir to melt.
  5. Using tongs, put pepper/onion mixture on top of brats. Place in bun. Enjoy!
